Prawn & Vegetable Stir-Fry with Konjac Rice

Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Konjac Rice

  • Drain and rinse the konjac rice under cold water.
  • Boil in water for 2–3 minutes to remove any natural aroma.
  • Drain and gently pat dry with a paper towel. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Prawns

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet or wok.
  • Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add prawns and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Stir-Fry Vegetables

  • In the same pan, add more oil if needed.
  • Stir-fry bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.

Step 4: Add Rice & Combine

  • Add the prepared konjac rice. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce and sesame oil, toss well to combine.
  • Return prawns to the pan. Stir-fry for 1–2 minutes.

Step 5: Finish & Serve

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Stir in green onions.
  • Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds, chili, or herbs if desired.
